There are many military jobs available to you once you enlist and get through basic training.
1. You need to realize that you don’t always have your pick of which military jobs you’ll be given, regardless of whether you join the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or National Guard. The military jobs that are available to you will depend on where you’re stationed, their particular needs and your personal skills and experience.
2. If you have special skills, you may be recruited as a specialist in certain areas. In fact, you may get a bonus for enlisting under a certain specialty. This still depends on the area and their needs, but you qualify you can almost certainly find military jobs in your field of expertise.
3. If you have no specialty, then consider any skills and experiences you do have that could qualify you for military jobs that you’d like to have. Find out what’s required in certain positions and if you need to take courses or steps to help push your career in that direction before you enlist you can do so.
