Learn About A Career As A Navy SEAL

Learn about Navy Seals JobsWhen you hear the term “Navy Seals” you automatically picture strong soldiers. You imagine Navy and Marine soldiers who are as at home in the water as dolphins and as stealthy as cheetahs. That’s because Navy Seals really are the elite, best of the best in the US military.

Navy Seal training isn’t open to just anyone who wants to apply. There are many conditions that must be met before a man even gets a chance to try the training. And the training itself is so rigorous, that some don’t make it through. Only the ones with the most strength, determination, endurance and commitment will come out on the other side of training to become Navy Seals.

Before you can apply for training, you must have near perfect eyesight. No women may apply to become Navy Seals. These Navy jobs are for men only, and only men who are 28 years old or younger. The intense and extreme training is best undertaken by younger, fitter men whose health won’t be in danger.

I know that you have to be in the Navy for some time before you get the chance to try out for BUD/s (save for the SEAL challenge contract), so my question is what are good jobs to start at before trying out? the type of person i am, i would be an 11B (infantry) if i were to go army, so im thinking Master at Arms then SEALs??

The best chance to go to BUD/S is to forgive all your A school rights and go straight to BUD/S out of basic training. Down side is if you do not graduate BUD/S, you will go wherever the Navy sends you. Then again, that’s a great motivator not to quit during BUD/S. Also, find out who your Navy Seal recruiter is in your area. He may be able to give you some basic tests to determine if becoming a Navy Seal is even possible for you. One thing is for certain, BUD/S is not for everyone. In fact, only a very slight few.
