This stereotype comes from TV and movies. Instead, it’s a group of men and women who give their all to protect your country. They risk their lives when necessary to protect it, and are there during domestic disasters to help put the pieces back together.
2. It’s not a place for underachievers to go and find jobs because they can’t find them anywhere else. Another stereotype often leads people to believe that if you’re strong but not terribly bright, the military is the right place for you. Military personal take classroom training along with survival training, and are tested rigorously. You use your mind and your body in the military.

3. Different branches of the military hate each other and compete. The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and National Guard are different branches of the military. And while there is friendly and challenging competition among them, a friendly rivalry that’s natural in any groups of people, they all make up the fighting force that protects the United States, and they work together.
