You have to recieve orders to ‘BUD/S” (Basic Underwater Demolition Seal training). Talk to your recruiter before enlisting. Also, their are three phases to BUD/S. As the article says, the fourth week is ‘Hell Week’ which concludes the first phase of training. It is this first phase that focuses on ‘physical’ abilities and endurance. If you’re fortunate enough to make it through Hell Week then phase two and three focuses on diving and then explosives. Many recruits either quit or let go even during phase two and three. Make it through BUD/S maybe the highlight of your life!

So how can i get in? I’v had people tell me that you can’t just walk-in the training, that they have to pick you. An do i have to start in the navy, right now im planning on going in the army. Can i transfer over after my 4 years or posibly sooner. Where can i go to talk to a recuiter in the upper michigan or tip of the mitt?
