Here are a few things you should know before signing up with any of the six branches of the US Military. However, keep in mind that the specific requirements, qualifications and experience required when applying for jobs or enlistment will differ from branch to branch.

 

Getting started is a breeze

 

Searching for military jobs is a breeze. Apart from authorized, recruitment agencies, each branch of the US Military has websites that periodically list the various job openings available. You could view these lists and select the ones of interest that match your personal needs, qualifications and experience, fill in the simple online job application forms or those provided for more information, and you’ll be responded to faster than you’d expect.

 

You’ll surely meet these basics

 

Some basic requirements need to be met for new-recruit enlistment in the US Military … and they aren’t as stringent as you may think. Here’s why:

 

-         Age no less than 17 or more than 34 years

 

-         Bona fide US national or Green Card holder

 

-         No more than two children, if married

 

-         Physically fit and free from any communicable diseases

 

-         At least a high school diploma holder or equivalent
