HOMELAND SECURITY – When the Army’s Active Duty Soldiers are called to deploy, Reserve Soldiers often fill their positions at home. Should a national disaster occur, Army Reservists are ready to provide support to humanitarian and relief operations. Reservist’s may offer their skills in the role of civil affairs specialist or water treatment operations.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – Soldiers in the Army Reserve utilize their skills to maintain, process and troubleshoot the information systems of the military. Secure communication and data safety is integral to the national defense strategies. Network administrators and information technology specialists are a valuable part of this safety.

LOGISTICS – The Army Reserve operates the transportation and supply lines of the Army. Motor transportation operators and transportation coordination managers make it possible to supply troops around the world with everything needed from Stryker vehicles to mail from home. MEDICAL SERVICES – Reservists’ medical capabilities often exceed those of Active Duty’s personnel since Army Reserve Soldiers often bring their civilian experience to the Reserve. Reservists staff most of the Army’s hospitals, triage centers, clinics and field medical care units.
