What the Army National Guard Offers

Army+National+GuardArmy National Guard members may train part-time, but their commitment is full-time and your achievements will stay with you for a lifetime. You will experience some of the same training and duties that you had in the active service, just on a part-time basis. Attend your military drills and still make it to your family and home in time for dinner. For each drill weekend you attend, you earn the equivalent of 4 days of active duty pay.

Since you are serving your country and your state, you can earn state educational incentives up to 100% free tuition. Qualify for money that you need to help pay for college or vocational training. Some of your Army Guard training may qualify for college credits. Don’t forget that you will also be contributing to your military retirement while serving part-time. You can additionally boost your retirement income by participating in the Thrift Savings Plan.
