One question that confounds many members of the US Military, specifically, those approaching the end of their military careers or assigned terms of duty, is WHETHER or not they’ll find good jobs in the private sector and, more importantly, WHAT jobs could be considered as HOT jobs for ex-military personnel.
Military vets are hot favorites
The truth is that, irrespective of which military branch people have served, private sector employers consider ALL ex-military personnel as valuable assets to their businesses. This makes them hot favorites as opposed to civilian candidates.
Here are 2 hot private sector jobs, among others, that you may consider.
Training Manager – Human Resources
As a senior military vet, you will be pre-qualified to achieve this position having learnt the importance and value of the “chain-of-command” function. You will also have acquired exceptional, organizational and leadership skills to guide people below you. What’s more, with your high level of motivation, you’ll be in a position to inspire employees you hire and train, and manage the overall human resource needs of the company that hires you.
Computer Engineer – Network and Telecom Systems
If you are a military vet with sound experience in computer engineering, this position is for you. As a computer engineer, you’ll require proficiency in the development and installation of computer operating systems, and modifying or upgrading them when or where necessary. The position will also require management of security of installed telecommunications and network systems.
The above are but two of the many private sector jobs best suited for military vets. Others include e.g., ‘Analysts’ – Intelligence/Operations; ‘Maintenance Engineers’ – Field Service; and ‘Operations Manager’ – Logistics and Supply.
