Terrorist Al-Qaeda Scout Captured

Terrorist Al-Qaeda Scout CapturedCoalition Forces Detain And Question Insurgent Suspect

In a series of raids conducted last weekend and ending on Monday, Coalition Forces discovered and captured a terrorist suspected scout during efforts in the Risalah area of Baghdad.  Military officials said that the suspect is a known member of Al-Qaeda, and were involved in foot reconnaissance reporting on U.S. and coalition troops.

The detainee suspect is also reported to be very skilled in computers, forgery of documents, and other intelligence means.  It is believed that Iranian criminal elements and Iranian leaders that are believed to direct attacks on coalition and U.S. forces trained him.

“We will target and aggressively pursue any individual or any group that opposes stability and security in Iraq,” said Navy Commander Edgar Buclatin.  Commander Buclatin is a MNF Iraq Spokesman. “Anyone that commits actions or hostile intent toward Iraqi citizens or Coalition forces will be pursued, and captured,” said Commander Buclatin.

“Every time we are successful and capture one of these terrorists or suspected insurgents, it takes us one step further toward a secure and safe Iraqi future,” said Buclatin.

In the Baqouba area during the past week U.S. and coalition forces detained and then arrested six individuals that were linked to various Al-Qaeda activity in the Baghdad area. The arrests were surrounding a series of attempted IED attacks from a network or terror cell in the province of Diyala. Two other terrorists were also arrested in these operations.

Coalition forces reported a big success in the capture of a suspected terrorist interrogator.  This suspect was captured in the area near Tikrit close to the Hamrin Mountains. The suspect is also believed to be instrumental in the smuggling of weapons and explosive into the Tikrit region.
