You will operate with a Chaplain Assistant to provide spiritual care.

Training

Whether you enter as a commissioned officer or not will depend on whether you have been ordained as a minister. Those who have will attain the rank Chaplain. Those who have yet to be ordained will attain the rank Chaplain Candidate. Either way, you will have to go through a three month training course to teach you the tasks which will be expected of you. You will also learn to perform your duties in a military setting.

I have a been seriously considering joining the Army National Guard as a Chaplains assistance and everually become a Chaplain. I have already received my Degree from Baptist Bible college with a BA in Intercultural Studies and Bible. I would love the opportunity to speak with a Chaplain and a Chaplains assistant to learn more about these postions.
