
The world flies with fuel. This is as true today as it has ever been the problem is that most every kind of vehicle uses a different kind of fuel to stay in the air. There are even different kinds of fuels which are used for the ground crew vehicles. It is important that all fuels are properly maintained and distributed to minimize accidents as well as to make sure that there are no problems in the fuel systems of these expensive machines. This is why the training of the fuels apprentice is so important.
What You Will Do
When you first get started as a fuels apprentice, you will be responsible for working on a small air base. This will give you the opportunity to learn the different kinds of fuel and which aircraft gets what. You will also learn how to test the different fuels to make sure that they are free from any additional contaminants which will harm the fuel systems and damage the engines of the aircraft.

As your skill level increases and you learn the tools of your trade, you will have the opportunity to move up in responsibility, rank and pay. This will help to make sure that you will be able to move from a small air base handling a few different aircraft to a large fuel depot which supplies fuel to the different air bases across the land.
