How to be a USAF Sensor Operator

The United States Air Force operates in some of the most dangerous missions throughout the world. These missions include the destruction of highly important military installations and other ground based systems. Because these targets are so important, it is important that they are correctly identified as well as relayed to those who will fly the attack missions on them. It is also important to make sure that the targets have been destroyed after the mission is over. When you work as a sensor operator, this is exactly what you will do.



Job Requirement



In order to be able to fill this position, you will have specific ASVAB requirements you will need to qualify for. You will also need to be in the Air Force for at least one year to two years. This is because of the sensitive nature of the assignments you will be responsible for. You will also need to be able to work around highly sensitive information and target information.

Importance of Your Position



When you work as a sensor operator, you will be responsible for making sure that the targets are acquired and destroyed in a regular manner.
