US Military Has Hurt the Al Qaeda Defenses in Iraq

US MilitaryIn a story that was released by the Washington Post on October 15, 2007, top military officials have reported that the attacks on Al Qaeda have proven to be beneficial for the US military. This is due largely in part to the US Military breaking down Al Qaeda’s defenses in Iraq. This is seen as a large step for the US Military, as the military generals can reassure President Bush and the American population that their jobs in Iraq have not gone undaunted. This is a positive reinforcement for the militaries that are deployed overseas, as they will know that they have created a job well done. Another positive turn for the US Military is that this recent “surge” has resulted in fewer deaths for the Iraqis, a goal that has been long coming for the military for quite a while. While it has never been the intent of the US Military to hurt others, it is a good sign to see that the military’s defenses are still as strong as ever, with less retaliation from the Iraqis and Al Qaeda. The less retaliation on their part, the more our US troops can accomplish for the Iraqis and Al Qaeda, eventually turning the reigns over to the Iraqis once an established plan has been created. Although the military still has many jobs that need to be done, the military can rest assured that they have already accomplished a great deal with the recent surge effects on the Al Qaeda’s defensive military regime.
