US Military Moves into Helmand

US Military into HelmandIn recent weeks, the US military as well as the British military have deployed some of its private personnel into Helmand, the area that British soldiers are involved in Afghanistan, in order to assist them with the redistricting and redevelopment of the province. Past wars and fighting has proven to be detrimental to the area, which is now in major need of assistance and reconstruction for the war-town area.

With the aide of the US Military and the British troops, it is expected that the Helmand area in Afghanistan will be operating on its own accord in no time. The main goal of the US and British troops for being the area is to help the local regain their control of the area, and to turn the area more into a democratic state – a state where the civilians of the land are free, and have the right to choose who their leaders will be. Although this is still quite the far reach for those that live in the Helmand area, it is not impossible.

In addition to the US and British troops being in the Helmand area for the advancement of the locals, the troops are also there to make sure that further attacks from the area are not being enforced among any additional soldiers. This is the overall goal of many of the missions that take place in the area, but this is even more so as it affects both the US and the British militaries.
