COIN Has Been Effective in Iraq

COIN US Military Effective in Iraq Recently, American troops have rushed into the Iraq area, proving that they are ready and willing to be put to the test when it comes to it. This type of insurgency has shown that the US military is ready for action at any given time.

In recent months, President Bush has pushed for this insurgency, stating that it is needed to show the Iraqi’s that force that is behind the US military. This has been approved by many Republicans, as well as the US militaries, and has shown that this COIN action was beneficial on behalf of the troops that are involved. There have been documented cases stating that the recent insurgence has been effective, as the Iraqi’s, Al Qaeda, and Sunnis have all shown less retaliation in the Iraqi area. Not only have American troops pushed for this insurgence, but many of America’s allies, such as Georgia and Britain have also used this method of defense to their advantage. Iraqi death rates are down, and their counteractive pursuits have proven to be less combative. This has also proven effective as the troops are not so much on the battlefields as they are in the streets of Iraq, making their presence in the area all the more visible. American troops have also incorporated the use of translators that may be native to the Iraqi area, as a hope of being more communicable with the Iraqi people is prevalent.
