Mohave Graduate Promoted to Major in US Army

Mohave Grad Promoted to Major in US ArmyMohave Valley High School in Mohave Valley, Arizona, is proud to have one of their own promoted to a major in the US Army. Raymond Mattox, who was a graduate of the school in 1987, has recently become the latest to be promoted to major in the US Army. This is a grand accomplishment for the soldier, who has now been transferred to Fort Benning, Georgia, where he will complete his military training.

There are promotions that take place every year, and being promoted to Major in the US Army is quite an honor. The honor is certainly bestowed to this Major, who has a long history of accomplishments. After graduating from college with studies in the Middle East cultures, he was enrolled into the Defense Department’s Language School where he mastered the Arabic language, which was of great assistance to him as he was still active in the US Army. He was also the proud commander of an 82nd Airborne Division troop while deployed in Iraq. It is certain that he is a great leader, and has the skills that are needed to carry out the duties that are assigned to those that are Majors in the military.
Enrollment into the military is voluntary at this time, and there is room for great advancement, such as what Maj. Mattox has received. Maj. Mattox’s story has inspired many, and is a testament that there are positive promotions that lie within the US Army.
