I am interested in a Firefighting job in the Navy but I fail to see any specific details posted by the navy.com or the usmilitary.com that explains exactly which job is a firefighting job. I understand that a (DC) Damage Controlman is partly a firefighting job and a (HT) Hull Technician has been mentioned as a firefighting job. But none of them meet the requirements of an ACTUAL firefighter. Anyone who has any further information please email me. kcelmer02@aol.com

Hello my name is justin im 18 yrs old im very interested in becoming a naval firefighter im currently volunteering as a firefighter.I want to be a firefighter in the navy for about two years then get out and go to work as a houston firefighter thats always bben my dream since i was a small kid.I love helping people and want to be there for them when they dial 911.I want people to know im willing to give my life for them and there property.I have been a volunteer for about a year and ahalf and i really enjoy it.I was planning on getting a scholarship threw the volunteer fire department and then be able to take a six month course and get my certifications as an emt and firefighter.But instead im gonna either join the navy here as a firefighter then after my time is over houston fire department will automatically hire.But im pushing more towards the marines because of the training ill get there i could do a four year active service two in the marines and two as a naval firefighter but i don’t wanna do that.If someone would contact me id really appreciate it.

i am an aviation boatswain’s mate e; i served 1975-1985 and wasfirst stationed at guantanamo bay cuba,where i was on the crash rescue/fire team. i was also on the uss lexington, nas jacksonville, and uss nimitz
i trained at lakehurst nj firefighting school
