US Military Honors Veterans with Flight of Honor

US Military Honors Veterans with Flight of Honor Approximately 100 of the Knoxville residents were flown to the area to be given the proper recognition that was deserved to them for their years of service. The US military strives to make sure that their veterans know that they are well taken care of and thought of for their services that they rendered while they were in the military. The ceremony was a one day excursion to the National WWII Memorial, as well as the National Wall. Some of the veterans that were in attendance displayed their gratitude through silent tears, while others showed that they were grateful by the smiles that were brought to their faces. The ceremony honored 6,000 other veterans as a means of respect and honor for their times served as well.

Bob Dole, a former US Senator, as well as a veteran, was on hand at the ceremonies. He was there to commission the day’s activities, and extend his gratitude as well. Many of those that were in attendance were extremely grateful, and all shared the common belief that the ceremony was way overdue. It has also been stated that those that were at the local airports in the Washington area also extended their gratitude when they saw the veterans in their full military attire. The emotions that were present that day were overwhelming, but the sense of pride and prosperity reigned.
