Aircraft Pneudraulics Repair CareersWorking on state of the art Aircraft is the job of the Army Aircraft Hydraulics and Pneumatics Repair person, or Pneudraulics Repair for short. The Army combines the two fields of air driven equipment (Pneumatics) with the liquid operated career field of hydraulics into one specialty called Pneudraulics Repair. Working as a Pneudraulics Aircraft Repair person in the Army is a field where you will be working on some of the most advanced aircraft and equipment in the world. Every mission that the Army engages in using aircraft has elements of patrol, transport and flight training, and it is with the support and efforts of the Army Aircraft Pneudraulics repair crew that keeps the Army on task and able to perform their missions successfully. As a vital member of the Army Aviation team, the Army Aircraft Pneudraulics repairperson sees to it personally that the aircraft and airframes under their charge are inspected, operational and ready to fly. The Pneudraulics Aircraft Repairer primarily is responsible for maintenance and supervision of keeping the hydraulics and pneumatics on Army aircraft in peak running order. Some of the duties that an Army Pneudraulics Repairer will perform include: constructing tubes and hoses, maintaining and using bench stock repair items, performing various special and common tool equipment maintenance, test, remove and repair different hydraulic and pneumatic aircraft systems needing repair, troubleshoot and diagnose different pneudraulics systems, subsystems, and their assemblies, and to store and maintain hydraulic fluids and other flammable liquid fluid levels. After nine weeks of Basic combat training you will venture off for 11 weeks of individual advanced training in Army Aircraft Pneudraulics repair. You will learn about basic electrical and mechanical systems, the repair and disassembly of engines and their sub systems, and the repair of airframe parts, fiberglass, aluminum, steel and composite airframes and their coverings. If you are skilled in shop mechanics and good in mathematics, and enjoy using tools and working with your hands then this may be the job area or career discipline for you. Once trained as an Army Pneudraulics repairer you will be highly prized in the civilian field of aviation as a mechanic, and shop crew person for airlines, smaller aviation companies, as well as other various civilian jobs. This is a highly specialized skill field, where there is always a shortage of qualified candidates, so if you have experience in aviation mechanics and want to pursue this as a career the opportunities are wide open for you.
