Troops Grow And Adapt As Iraq Partners

Troops Grow And Adapt As Iraq PartnersCoalitions Forces Work Closely With Each Other

FOB Hammer- It does not matter what task they are given, the soldiers working together in Forward Operating base Hammer have worked hard to adapt and adjust.

From assisting their coalition partners the British with the Basra Air Base security, to working on patrol in the streets of Narhwan, even to providing support and fire suppression near FOB Hammer itself, the troops from 10th Field Artillery, 1st Battalion, Battery B have done it quietly, efficiently, and with flair.

Since their current deployment started their duties have switched many times. “We ask them to do a variety of tasks, and they are able to step up and face the challenge, each time, every time,” said 1st Sergeant Michael Patton. Sgt Patton is the Sergeant attached to Battery B.

The troops and Soldiers under Patton’s command work hard and repeatedly to keep their high mission readiness intact. The soldiers trained at Fort Benning, GA before being deployed to Iraq.
