Senior Enlisted Leaders Join ForcesCoalition And Iraq Command Sergeant Majors Plan Training

Members of both Coalition and Iraqi Forces met to plan enlisted training and soldier preparation March 20th in Baghdad.

Command Sergeant Major’s from both Iraqi Army and Coalition Forces met, as Command Sergeant Major’s from the Iraqi National Police. Together they met for the first Non Commissioned Officers Education System Conference, held in Baghdad.

Training procedures, education and other issues that face enlisted personnel were among the issues the were discussed. Ways of training and different issues of emerging technology and how it affects current and future enlisted training were discussed.

“We worked to give our Senior Enlisted leaders here in the Iraq theater a broad tour in what we have to offer in the Multi National Security Transition Command, and how it can affect training and education opportunities for non commissioned officers,” said U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major Tommy Williams.

The conference was an effort to pull together different Iraqi and Coalition War fighters and have them together to share experience and tactics, as well as planning future training that can be accomplished together.

Some of the different discussions held looked at how the Iraqi Army has slowly progressed into better and better training methods, as well as ways that it needs to continue to involve. Some of the senior enlisted command leaders can work together to join and help train senior Iraqi enlisted members, sharing both training and experiences in real world situations.

“The better we help the Iraqi Army Senior Enlisted personnel to train, the better our own training becomes,” said U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major William High.

“We are all in this together,” said Cmd. Sgt. Major High.
