7th Calvary Aids Gear Up Of Iraqi MarketStreet Life Begins To Return To Normal For Adhamiyah The street scene in Adhamiyah has began to return to normal, partly due to the efforts of Coalition soldiers in assisting the village marketplace to rebuild and come back to life. Soldiers from 2nd BCT, 7th Calvary Regiment, 3rd Squadron have been working long hours to help the businesses and shopkeepers in the Adhamiyah Market to restore and rebuild their individual businesses. Through the use of micro grants, and other types of encouragement and assistance, the village of Adhamiyah and the entire village has slowly began to respond. Not only with practical help, the amount of patrols have been increased so that the village and citizens can feel that they are safe again to come out and resume their lives. The village has seen its share of fierce fighting, and as such it is a welcome respite that there is no longer a need to be afraid. Both Coalition forces and Iraqi Security Forces patrol the village and the region, and the frequent patrols and occasional raids on known Al Qaeda safe houses has seen the level of confidence slowly rise. People are not afraid to venture back out into the street, and businesses are not afraid to open their doors. Find the Military Career right for YOU ! Click here for more Information. Increased confidence and security has led to a reawakening on Chem Street. “We saw only about three or four shops when we first arrived, now there are more than 20 shops that are open,” said Army Staff Sergeant Germaine Seabrook. Sgt. Seabrook is a cavalry scout with Troop A, 3rd Squadron. The Iraqi Security Forces and Coalition Soldiers now mount joint dismounted foot patrols, working together to patrol Adhamiyah and the whole region. “It has really turned around in this area,” said Sergeant Seabrook.
