US Military Receives Check from Iraqis for Wildfire

US Military Receives Check from Iraqis for WildfireIn a recent extent of gratitude and concern for the American people, Iraqi soldiers that are based in Camp Besmaya, gathered their money together and present the US military with a check for $1,000.00. The monies that were gathered and presented are for the advancement of assistance for those that have lost their homes and other goods in the recent California wildfires. This came as a large shock for many people, and is also a great way for many of those that are in the military to know that they have the support of the Iraqi military as well.

This gesture that was made forth by the Iraqis was a substantial step towards a positive unity between the American and Iraqi forces, and is sure to bring about many more advancements for peace in the future. This move, however, is not the first time that this Iraqi brigade has made the move for betterment of the American troops. In 2005, when Hurricane Katrina ravished the southern portion of the United States, many of the same troop members were available to help with the donations that were presented to the US military at that time as well. Acts such as these are a sign that the Iraqi and American troops are working together to bring about he best possible means of peace for both sides of the Iraqi war. It is through such actions that peace will prevail, and the American forces can return home in a timely manner.
