Remote Medical Training SuccessfulTask Force Medical Operates From Bagram Craig Hospital Coalition forces worked together with Afghanistan forces to conduct a training program for medical issues. The ability of health care providers in Afghanistan to provide quality care for residents has slowly increased, but there are still a number of ways to improve. Doctors and Medics from 2/508th Parachute Infantry Regiment set up a medical teleconference link to help teach and instruct local Afghanistan medics and doctors to learn new medical techniques. Coalition Doctors stood by at Ghazni Hospital while the Afghanistan personnel were on the other end of the teleconference at Bagram Craig Hospital. Translators stood by at each end of the teleconference link ready to assist. Plastic surgery, CPR and training with artificial ventilators were among the issues discussed. Are you interested in an exciting career in the Military? See if you qualify. Click Here Now! This promises to be an excellent new way to improve medical conditions for areas that are remote, or where medical personnel cannot be in residence to deal with medical conditions. After some of the kinks in the program are straightened out, this could be an innovative method of helping Afghan doctors learn new methods without being stuck with having to be there in person. Overall capacity of the Afghanistan health care system is continuing to improve slowly and this new system of doctor and medical clinic staff training can only help the process. Doctors at both hospitals that participated in the remote training are excited that the new process was successful.
