Iraqi CID Works With Coalition Soldiers
Not all of the fight against Al Qaeda goes on directly on the Battlefield. There is also evidence and other issues that are collected to prove that Al Qaeda and terrorists insurgents are operating in a region. Some of the evidence it preserved and collected to use against Al Qaeda in Iraqi Courts, or to use in possible world court cases regarding wartime atrocities.
The Criminal Investigation unit of the Iraqi National Police went to Al Jabour on April 14th to confiscate and impound a large number of cars that were believed stolen and then used by Al Qaeda in their planning of terrorist acts.
Al Qaeda was believed to have taken the vehicles and hidden them so they could later be used to build IED and improvised bombs to use against Iraqi and Coalition soldiers. The cars were loaded on to various transport vehicles include flatbed trucks. After the 26 cars were loaded they made their way back to CID Headquarters.
