Despite Recent Efforts, General Musharraf Doesn’t Want Military Aide

Despite Recent Efforts, General Musharraf Doesn’t Want Military Aide This comes after long negotiations between the Pakistan government and the US government, in an attempt to make sure that the Pakistan people are not at a standpoint where they are today. General Musharraf has been quoted as stating that he has “ absolutely and totally” denied the assistance of the US Military to bring order back to the country once more.

This has been a large blow to the US Military, who have wanted nothing more than to help the Pakistan people as well as its government. In a recent statement, there have been over 11 billion dollars that have been appropriated to the Pakistan government. Now that the General Musharraf has declined the assistance that his country needs, there is even a greater need for the US military to make a presence in the country. Having civil distress in the country is feared to bring about the extreme terrorist organizations, such as Al Qaeda. This type of injunctive can also directly affect the US, as the US military will then have to push its troops into Pakistan so that the Al Qaeda are not at liberty to tread into US soil once again. General Musharraf has also been quoted as stating that the Pakistan people will “ rise against” the involvement of the US military in its country.
