US Veterans to Receive a Free Meal on Veteran’s Day from McCormick

US Veterans to Receive a Free Meal on Veteran’s Day from McCormickIn honor of the veterans that have served our country proudly, there is an annual meal that is served to US veterans, courtesy of McCormick and Schmick’s restaurants. The restaurants greatly appreciate the efforts and sacrifices that the veterans have given to all of us, and therefore offer the meals free of charge to the US veterans. This is the ninth year that the Portland, Oregon restaurants will be offering their seafood fare for the veterans, all of whom are so grateful for the free meals.
The meals that are offered are just a small gesture of gratitude and thanks that is offered to the US veterans this day. The popularity of the free meal program has taken off, as more and more veterans will descend upon the Portland area for the free meal. There are often stories that are shared around the tables in the restaurants, of wars that have passed, to current day events. The stories will bring tears to the eyes of many, and will enrich the lives of those that are present. There is a lot of history that is often shared at such gatherings, and the hospitality of the free meal for the US veterans is merely a small step towards assuring that there are thanks that is given to the veterans on Veteran’s Day. It has also been stated that as long as there are the veterans that will be attending the yearly events, then there will be the continuance of the program for many years to come.
