Health Care: When you enlist in the Army you are eligible for coverage for yourself, your spouse, and all of your dependents. This coverage alone can be very expensive, and it is available free for the Servicemember and at a very low cost for military dependents. It is medical coverage that is specifically designed to provide full coverage for your dependents, yourself, your entire military family.
Vacation and Leave Time: It is a fact that anyone that enlists in the Army, or any of the Armed Forces is given time off each year. You start off with four weeks of leave with pay a year, many civilian jobs don’t offer that much your first year, but it begins from the very first year you are enlisted, 30 days off with full military pay and allowances. This goes not only for the Army, but its fellow Armed Forces. You can take off to anyplace you want for your vacation with your family knowing you receive full pay for the month you are gone.
Education: The Army has full Tuition Assistance for active duty Servicemembers as well as various programs to assist with getting an education while you are on active duty. You can invest in the Montgomery GI Bill and receive generous benefits for college after you separate from military service, as well as choosing to participate in a higher level with the Top Up program which can increase your MGIB benefits by as much as $5,400 dollars.
