US Marine Allows Iraqi who Saved Him Into Home Often times, when many people think of the variances between the US military and the Iraq military, there is the thought of war and fighting. It is almost rare, if ever, that there is the thought of having some form of assistance from opposing military agents that there would be help from one country to another. This has become a reality in many levels, all of which have greatly appealed to all parties involved in the current Iraq war. LT. Col. Michael Zacchea, a US Marine, was in Iraq when an Iraqi interpreter had tipped him off that there would be an impending possible attack on himself as well as his troops. This led to great worry for the Lt. Col., who has been known to see many attacks himself. He often thought of how such a disaster can happen to himself, but was quickly snapped into reality when he saw the plan actually unfolding right before him when the attacks were foiled. The Iraqi was quick to save the life of an enemy, and therefore Lt. Col Zacchea has been seen returning the favor. He has allowed the undercover Iraqi interpreter, who goes by the name of Jack, into his home to stay a while, as Jack’s home was lost during battle. This story has been said to be uplifting, moving and a rarity in the military, proving that both Americans and Iraqis are capable of creating peace and harmony with one another.
