The Army Investigation Criminal division deals with crime and infractions that involve Army Personnel or crimes that are committed on Army Property. Army Special Agents are responsible for supervising and conducting various types of investigations or offenses involving Army Personnel.
Some of the different duties that an investigator serving in the Army CID can involve investigating and looking into serious crime, maintaining Army Investigative Service Records, assisting and conducting gathering of laboratory forensic evidence, and conducting sensitive or serious investigations. An Army CID Office also works to conduct and analyze different types of criminal intelligence, investigate activities related to treason and espionage, and terrorism investigations. After participating in Basic Training a candidate for Army Criminal Investigator will attend 15 weeks of advanced individual training. You will work ton investigative service skills, as well as facing challenges both physically and mentally. Your training will be state of the art dealing with skills in civil and military laws, and their applications, skills and training in crimes against persons or property, and knowledge of investigation and crime investigation techniques.

The mission of Criminal Investigation Army specialists is the same during battlefield conditions or during peacetime. They work to maintain and enforce Army rule of law, and maintain Army criminal records. They are also involved in Criminal Intelligence, and logistical security. In some situations they can investigate war crimes and other serious crimes.
