The football game will be played on December 20, 2007, and will be aired on live television, courtesy of ESPN. This is quite an accomplishment for the Navy football team, as they are hoping for a big win over the Mountain West team that will be the other football team invited to play in the Poinsettia Bowl against them.
In recent football games that the US Navy has played, they have won against such accomplished football teams like North Texas, and a highly –acclaimed win against Notre Dame the week before. The Notre Dame was a huge win for the Navy football team, who had not won a game against the Notre Dame team in over 40 games. Such wins have been huge accomplishments for the team, all of which are sure to be great motivation for the Poinsettia Bowl game in December.
