President Bush Gives Thanks to those who Lost Their LivesVeteran’s Day often marks the celebration and remembrance of all of the veterans that have participated in the military combats, as well as those that have so bravely given their lives for our freedom. This year, President Bush made a trip to Waco, Texas, in honor of the Veteran’s Day celebrations. He offered his thanks to those that have given the ultimate sacrifice-their lives- while in battle. President Bush has come under much criticism for all of the troops that have lost their lives in the current war. President Bush made the comment at the Veteran’s Day ceremonies that all of the soldiers that have perished have not “died in vain”, but rather have passed away quite nobly, and should be honored as such. President Bush also made the comment at the ceremony, where there were 4 families that were grieving for their deceased loved ones who just passed in the military, that he will make sure that their loved ones will be honored as best as possible. Last month marked over 3,000 men and women who have died in the war in Iraq, as well as other countries such as Afghanistan, which has brought President Bush much anger from the opposing sides, as well as those that have lost their loved ones in the war. President Bush’s appearance at the Veteran’s Day memorial was known to be a touching move on his part for those that have lost loved ones in the war.
