Bagram Soldiers Aid In Instruction Of Afghanistan Medical Staff
The Task Force set up at the Bagram medical facility helped conduct a program of medical screening for citizens in the region. They set up an experimental medical training program that began to train Afghanistan health professionals and to help build capacity among the local Bagram Craig Hospital medical staff. Medics from the 508th Parachute Infantry regiment who are based partly at Afghanistan Ghazni Hospital were ready to step in during different physical portions of the training.
Several different types of training were revealed to the Afghanistan medical staff, including various methods of plastic surgery, ventilator training, and even advanced surgical techniques normally not found out outside of the United States. The early results from the training program are showing promising, and it is being proposed to be used as a model for military remote modeled medical training.

Many of the different kinks are being settled, and the overall success is a testimony to the spirit of cooperation among doctors and medical personnel from different countries, and different medical forces. This type of remote medical training is new to Afghanistan and has resulted in a large improvement in the overall quality of health care for the Afghanistan region and the villages each of the hospitals serve.
The training has been well received too by the Afghanistan doctors, who welcome the chance to train and learn alongside of American and Coalition doctors.
