US Military Looks at Altering Troops in Iraq In recent months, the Bush administration has looked at changing the amount of troops that are in the country, and pulling out troops slowly. President Bush and top military officials are expected to have talks in regards to the negotiations of pulling troops slowly out of Iraq. Since the beginning of the current Iraq war, there have been over 20 different brigades that have been present in the war, all of whom have been stationed all over the country, as well as other enemy territories. Due to the success of the recent surge of troops in the country, the United States military has found that they are now able to pull out many of their troops, so that they can all be brought back home. The matter of the troop reduction will take place over a 7 month period, beginning in January of next year, 2008. It is believed that there will be at least 140,000 troops that will be sent home at this time, which is known to be an unprecedented amount for any military action. President Bush has slowly been pulling troops out of the area, as the Iraqi’s begin to regain control of their government, and need less of the American troops in the area for the civil disobedience. This is a positive sign of peace and prosperity for the Iraqi people, and a notion that the American troops will be home all the more faster.
