Representative Nancy Pelosi Stops To See Troops
The United States Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi took time out of her official duties to stop and visit soldiers at Sather Air Base. Representative Pelosi visited the Air Base with Representatives John Larson, Howard Berman, Steny Hoyer, Alcee Hastings, Adam Putmam, Howard Berman, Gary Ackerman, and Jan Harman. The visit was to encourage deployed Servicemembers, Airmen, and Soldiers stationed at the Sather Air Base.
Enlisted and Commissioned Servicemembers from around the region gathered to welcome the visiting dignitaries. There are a number of the dignitaries that have different opinion on the war, but everyone in the group was not there for political gain but to show unified support for the members of the Armed Forces gathered to welcome them.
“We have different opinions but we are all in agreement about our appreciation, respect and regard for your service, each and every one of you,†said Representative Pelosi. The speaker went on to tell the assembled members of Team Sather about the new benefits under the recently reformed Veteran’s Benefits in the 21st Century GI Bill.
“It was a big honor to have a chance to visit with the Speaker of the House,†said Senior Master Sergeant Debra Kelly.
