My name is Rick. I am 19 years old and have decided on a career in law enforcement. I’ve always had a very big respect for law enforcement. It wasn’t till recent where i wanted to go into this. It took a lot of thinking. But my problem is, i don’t know where to start. The air force sounds good, but my only problem is the constant traveling and the long service. I just want to be a police officer. Whether it being CHP, school police, police, or Sheriff’s, i want to be apart! i want to be apart of something greater. something rewarding. something hard! But. I dont know where or how to start. College only raises one brow for me, i need help. Please, if you got it, please share.Thank you.

I am 17 almost 18 and I want to be a cop and with the economy these days joining the airforce as a MP will strongly increase my chances of being a good cop I think.

im 14 and i have been interested in joining the military for at least two years now. i have wanted to be a police officer since i was 4 and when i was in the sixth grade decided to be a MP. i don’t know what branch im going into yet so i am researching. the air force sounds good but i want to know more and was wondering if anyone could help me. i have read the comments above and was wondering what i should do. i WILL become a MP but i am having trouble getting ready. pointers?

im thinking about going to the Air Force to be a MP but like, i am a single mother, so i don’t want to deployed somewhere that i don’t know anybody. i live pretty close to an air force base..do you think they would let me jsut stay there?

I am 20 years old and have been looking into going into the airforce as a mp. I have already passed the asvab test but i was in a dirtbike accident 4 months ago and broke my femur and now have a rod in my leg, i have asked some different people and they have told me i cannot join having metal in my leg. So i was wondering are my chances of joining totaly gone?

Amandia, The military is what you make it……I’ve been in the United States Army for 7 years, and I’m looking at switching to the Airforce….The beginning is not fun at all….there will be a time at basic where you will have a “screw this” moment, but push through it, and you will be fine.

Are Military Police Officers routinely deployed into hostile areas/bases? Or are they typically stationed at military bases withing the US?
