The United States Army is the military service that is responsible for fighting and triumphing in any Land based conflict or War. This has been the mission of the United States Army from the earliest days of the American Revolution to the current age. The core and the essence of the US Army has always been the infantry, which has a very proud tradition that extends all the way back to the 1700’s with the first Minutemen to the different 21st century warriors of today’s Army Infantry. The Army is one of three district military departments – The Navy, the Air Force and the Army. The infantry soldier is the core of today’s Army, and they support both the operational and institutional Army components. The Army is one of the central members of the Department of Defense, and they have both institutional and operational missions. Institutional Army- The institutional Army provides the means to deploy, equip, train, and raise soldiers to fight and train. The Institutional Army provides the means to insure the Army readiness of all Army forces, and makes sure that operational readiness is achieved. The Institutional Army provides training skills and educational training to Army soldiers as well as training to members of the Army sister services, and other allied and NATO forces. It establishes a training base for the Army, and gives it the means to expand rapidly when needed. It operates the Army industrial base with logistics and world-class equipment, and the power platforms to deploy land forces swiftly. The institutional Army provides the means for the operational Army to function. Are you interested in an exciting career in the Military? See if you qualify. Click Here Now! Operational Army- The operational Army is the functional arm of the United States Army. The operational Army is made up of battalions, brigades, divisions, corps, and numbered Armies. They conduct operations and full spectrum missions in Army facilities around the world. The operational Army consists of both the Active duty Army, and the Army National Guard, and the Army Reserves. Regardless of the mission, or whether the issue involves the Operational or Institutional part of the Army, the United States Army stands ready to serve America at a moments notice. It is an organization with over a 225-year history of service, and stands proudly in defense of our nation, our society, and our way of life.
