Military Emergency Medical Travel Benefits

The military has a number of advantages, it allows the Servicemember to learn a job skill, and to travel the world. The pay and allowances are competitive and there are a number of benefits available that are not as well known as typical military benefits. There is a number of programs that exist that are funded and supported by the private sector. One of these programs is the Operation Angel Flight program. It is a program that directly benefits Servicemembers in providing travel for medical emergencies for Servicemembers, dependants, and relatives in emergency situations. In the past when Servicemembers needed to travel, or when their relatives needed to travel for medical reasons often it was a hardship and there was no method or program to assist. This caused a lot of grief and hard times for Servicemembers during the time when they need their reserves and strength the most, during times of medical crisis. A group of volunteer pilots got together and formed the Operation Angel Flight program. It is for veterans who need to travel long distances for medical reasons, or for the dependants of Servicemembers that need to travel to aid or support their Veterans and loved ones. The Angel Flight program exists to provide free or low cost transportation for veterans that are required to travel long distances for surgery or medical treatment. Sometimes the Veteran or Servicemember is required to travel a great distance to receive medical care or surgery for severe illness, and this can be daunting if the veteran does not have the means or the ability to travel to where they need to be for their medical care. The care received is often paid for by Veterans benefits or active duty or reserve TriCare coverage, but there is often a need for the Servicemember to travel, and they don’t have the means to do so. Are you interested in an exciting career in the Military? See if you qualify. Click Here Now! The Operation Angel Flight has a simple mission: That no Veteran or Servicemember, or their family members who are without resources or ability to travel, who are required to travel for medical reasons, be given support and the ability to travel where they need to go. Thus, with the support of the Operation Angel Flight Veterans have a resource and benefit that supports their need for Medically related travel and assistance.
