Army Film Documentation Specialist

The Army works to document different events that it participates in. While at times there are fictional accounts or film crews that have access to relate what happens around a particular Army Event, it is the Army Film Documentation Specialist that works to document real life events. The Combat Army Film documentation specialist has the job to film and record different events as well as activities that the Army is involved in. This is used for training as well as a certain extent what the public sees the Army as. The personnel that serve in the Army as a Film documentation specialist are some of the most dedicated people serving in the military.

The Army Documentation Specialist is the person that records military operations, a variety of news events, ceremonies, and various other issues that are important to the Army to have documented. The specialist has a range of tasks to perform, from editing, recording, filming, audio recording, and even at times approving scripts for documentary film shoots. Combat Documentation specialist are responsible for planning, operating, and supervising electronic and digital type of recording. The Combat Specialist uses visual videotape devices and digital equipment as well as still photography and visual videotape equipment and devices. Some of the different duties that you will have to perform as an Army Film Documentation Specialist
Include: Planning and putting into operation sound and camera operations, creating and preparing captions for documented images, creating and editing visual products and captions for different documented images, operating broadcast and television equipment, and working with writers and directors. You will also work to maintain and keep up film, motion cameras, darkroom and other equipment. After Boot Camp for 9 weeks, you will attend 27 weeks of schooling for combat documentation. You will learn different skills in digital video recording, scripting, special effects and motion picture operations. If you enjoy using photographic equipment, or enjoy people you can have a long and interesting job specialty in film documentation.

Working as an Army Film Documentation Specialist you will have an opportunity to work at a variety of different locations, to document activity for the Army anyplace that the Army is stationed at. The position of Army Film Documentation Specialist often involves the opportunity to travel and to see areas that most people do not have a chance to view.
