Civil Affairs Team Improve Fallujah

US Marines And Iraqis Work Together

The Joint forces of the Iraqi Security Forces and the Coalition have worked very hard to help improve the infrastructure of the Fallujuh City region, and it has begun to bare fruit. The Fallujah city council, along with local citizens and tribal leaders has served to step in and take over from the Iraqi Security forces and the coalition.

Many of the different infrastructure and leadership issues have not been ones that traditionally were learned or taught, but ones that the leadership in Iraqi have done very well to learn. The leadership is stepping out and taking independent action to help rebuild Iraq, and it has made a big difference.

A new project to establish an effective water distribution network has been the centerpiece of the newest issues in Fallujah. The social networking and creation of jobs has been other vital issues that have been successfully embraced by the leadership of Fallujah.

Embedded Provincial Reconstruction Teams have taught the leadership how to reverse engineer different buildings that are already around in Iraq, which will save a lot of design time and expense, and also builds the skills and skill sets for the Iraqi personnel and leadership to utilize.

While this is all new stuff for the Iraqi leaders, they have been upbeat and hard working to work and learn the ropes. Their attitude has made the overall efforts successful and means that teaching them the necessary things they require has been a lot easier.

The next issue that the Fallujah leadership will examine and work on is the replacement of the city Telecommunications Headquarters. This will directly benefit over 45,000 Iraqi Citizens.
