Coalition And Iraqi Troops Work Cooperatively To Give Aid
There are many reasons that the coalition has been successful in gaining the upper hand in security in Iraq, but one of the most important issues has been the willingness of the Coalition to dive in and assist with issues of health and public welfare.
Recently the joint efforts of the coalition and the Iraqi Security Forces have been cooperating to distribute and spread humanitarian aid. More than 280 people recently received medical and dental care and support at an Iraqi School in Farisiyah. 80 children were given medical screenings and support, and more than 200 adults also were given medical treatment at the Al Herea School.
Eight Iraqi medics worked with medical and dental personnel from the 4th BCT, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Infantry to give care to citizens in the FOB Iskan region.
“We are happy to help provide care for those in need,†said Army Staff Sergeant Luke Henry.
Sgt Henry is a medic with the 4th BCT.
Members of the coalition civil affairs team have been working outward from FOB Iskan to distribute more than 500 different food and humanitarian aid packages.

The children and adults that are treated by coalition and ISF medics will keep the memory of their positive treatment for the rest of their lives, and it will serve to help strengthen the bonds that are experienced between the citizens and joint Iraqi and Coalition soldiers.
