MNF And Iraqi Joint Forces Work Together For Kids Benefit
The coalition soldiers have been working closely with the Iraqi Security forces to make sure that the Iraqi Children are being protected. Kids have been targeted at times in the past by criminals, as they are easy targets for both insurgents and terrorists wanting to hurt or attack a community.
Since the 2003 liberation of the Iraqi nation there have been a number of different incidents involving Al-Qaeda operatives using children to conduct their criminal and terrorist activities.
Soldiers from the 14th Infantry, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat team are working closely with the Iraq Army to conduct various patrols in the Mushada region, to the Northwest of Baghdad.
They have been passing out flyers and speaking with the citizens, working to make sure that the children are safe.
At first the different people in the community were reluctant to talk to the soldiers, but gradually the citizens have been able to grow to trust.
People began to realized that the Coalition and the Iraq Army are working together to make sure that the safety of children are the first priority. It has been a slow building of trust on all parties.

As the citizens began to trust, the overall success of the security mission began to grow, and the Iraqi Army has turned the increased trust to its advantage.
