Raid At Al Batta Performed By Iraqi Forces

Iraq Security Soldiers Implement Search For Weapons

The joint forces of the Iraqi Army, Iraqi Police and coalition soldiers performed a Raid at Al Batta. The mission was straight forward, to search for weapons and perform terrain mapping using human resources.

The mission was held during the night and it was done with members of both Iraqi security forces and Coalition troops.

Members of the joint forces worked to implement the raid for three hours, and then they ceased their operations and regrouped. They had met with citizens and farmers, and learned a great deal of information about the local community. They made use of a device that is similar to a digital camera.

It is called the HIDE system and it allows soldiers to scan a persons fingerprints and eye, to take a picture of the person and to input any other information, from village, to name, and aliases.

This is a mission that allows soldiers to obtain different information about the community and to record the identity of civilians, and identify them in the future.

The raid was successful in helping the joint forces to get to know the community, and to identify the positive and hardworking members from the local population so that they can be identified easily from terror suspects in the future.

It also was a mission that has engendered a lot of positive goodwill.
