Supplies Delivered By ISF Forces
The delivery of food and supplied have been the typical activity by the coalition since the main security responsibility for day to day safety has largely passed to the Iraqi Security forces. As time goes on and the security continues to improve, the Iraqi Police and Iraqi national Army have begun to assist in food delivery, making delivery of bulk food and water to citizens one of their new priorities.
Members of the Iraqi Police delivered bulk food products to residents of Zuwarijat on July 3rd and the event included the distribution of milk, canned goods, noodles and other necessary food supplies.
The purpose of the humanitarian aid delivery was to help create good will and assist citizens and it gives the community the realization that the Iraqi Police are their friends and fellow citizens.
The success of the event gives the Iraqi Security Forces a positive interaction that they can use to help get to know the local population. The citizens are learning to trust the Iraqi police, and this serves to assist in helping create positive good will.
This good will that serves both the citizens and the Police, and it helps to keep the community safe and create a well-defined relationship between the community and the Iraqi Police.
