Aircraft Marine Wing Engages Insurgency Successfully
The members of the MV-22 Osprey attack Squadron that is deployed near Al Asad have worked hard to build on the success of the security in and around the village. Using stealth and cooperating with the Iraq Security forces, members of the MV-22 Squadron have been able to succeed where other coalition efforts have fallen short.
The Aircraft MV-22 is the newest aircraft in the United States Marine Corps Arsenal, and it has several distinct advantages that have been put to good use in fighting in Iraq. It can take off, hover and land vertically, or take off and land like a normal fixed wing aircraft. It can hover while troops search house to house, or circle while a raid is being performed.
But most of all, it can land and deploy troops swiftly without any warning, and nearly silently, leading to the ability to respond to different security situations swiftly, and with a lot on panache.

Now, not only have members of the coalition used the Osprey, but the crew of the Marine MV-22 has worked to deliver different platoons of Iraqi soldiers on scene to deal with different raids. Now, the Iraqi soldiers have been able to be delivered swiftly, and accurately taking down several key insurgency sites without incident.
