When you join the US Navy you sign up for a rating or job specialty. If you do well, or if you are good with working with people, you may have an opportunity to teach and show your job proficiency to other people. Good training and instruction is vital to the Naval mission. At times there are different opportunities to act as a Navy instructor, because having people to instruct, teach and train is a very important part of the Navy mission. Some personnel are a natural at teaching and instruction, while other people come to it more slowly and have to learn what is successful and what works, and what does not.
Working as a Navy Educator means that you will have the opportunity to teach and share your experiences with other people. You will help sailors and others who want to learn what material you have to share, and to learn the information you are working to teach. Some personnel who want to perform as Navy Instructors work to be very successful, but other have a difficult time, and they are not able to put it into a form that can be easily understood. For those personnel they work to learn from the aids and assistance of other instructors, and senior education staff. This is the duty that when you serve as a US Navy instructor, working giving lectures, helping others prepare for presentation, and working to showcase the ability and talent of sailors for learning and training uses. Serving as a US Navy Instructor and a Naval educator can bee a deeply rewarding and valuable experience. With the different types of US Navy Missions, duty stations, ships and types of duty your teaching and training you could potentially be based at any number of locations around the world. The members of the US Navy that work as instructors are on point to relate and share what they have learned personally, and also to showcase the experiences and knowledge of other sailors and what is on file in the books on different scientific experiences and other subjects. You will help young sailors who are in the position to relate what they learn.

Sailors are taught concepts and subjects, then expected to be able to take those experiences and relate them, showing an ability to master them. It is the duty of the US Naval Educator to be able to Shepard and herd young sailors in such type of lessons as well as helping with formalized standard training type of evolutions.
