Two Tons Donated To Abernisha Village Farmers
The needs of the Taji Qada have been increasing as the area recovers from all of the battle and combat that has plagued the region. The region is enjoying a renewed sense of purpose, as the entire region is working cooperatively to rebuild.
The Fertile Crescent area of Iraq has had a long agricultural history, and its farmers are working to try to regain their footing as an agricultural strong house.
Efforts to replant and re sow different areas of the Taji Qada , working to plant young seedlings and using seeds of various plants to create a new crop.
The Farmers of the Taji Qada received a huge assist with the donation of two tons of maize seed from the coalition, to help restart food production in the region.
The seed is an effort to give help to the Abernisha village and the region, and the farmers will use the seed to plant and harvest a crop possibly as early as this fall, otherwise a lot of the seed will be used to plant crops for next season.
Soldiers and coalition team members have worked hard to identify different needs, and the seed is one such example of support for local citizens.

The seed was donated by an American Company, named Inma, and it will be used for growing high quality feed for livestock and animal feed. The maize program is the first step in helping to produce high quality livestock food.
