Navy Mechanical Enlisted Careers

The Navy trains Servicemembers in a variety of mechanical and industrial careers. Airmen and sailors that work in the mechanical field are the nuts and bolts of the United States Navy, and they work to maintain and support the Navy vessels and aircraft that they have at their duty station. The Naval enlisted Servicemembers that serve on aircraft and ships in the Navy fleet work to perform their mission and use determination, intelligence. Sailors and Airmen in the U.S. Navy perform their mission using sophisticated instruments and equipment to perform repairs, calibration and adjustments to the different equipment, vessels and aircraft that the Navy uses. The training and expertise of the Sailors and Airmen keep aircraft, submarines, ships and weapons systems functioning and operating at peak efficiency. Servicemembers work around the clock at various times, with equipment and machines that are worth millions of dollars. Ability and training is not to be taken lightly, and the Navy maintains equipment, vessels and vehicles with many different kinds of support and operations. The ability of the Navy to maintain a high operational readiness is directly related to the quality of the personnel that function in the Navy enlisted mechanical careers. If it’s a electronic system then its likely that the enlisted mechanic Navy specialists have worked on them. The mechanical and Industrial field is a highly specialized career specialty. You may be tasked to examine a problem area on a F-18 Hornet on one day, or you may be assigned to deal with seawater evaporation. If you have strong technical and mechanical skills, enjoy working with others, and have a demonstrated ability with mathematics and technical things, this may be the career Navy field for you. The type of training you receive in the Navy depends on the specific Job specialty or classification that you are assigned to. No matter which training school or technical training you attend, you will receive the latest ship and aviation training.
