Coalition Trained Iraqi Forces Successful
The coalition has worked hard to support the forces from the Iraqi Security Forces in chasing away terrorist insurgents. The members of the 3rd Infantry Division, 4th Brigade Combat Team have been successful, most of all in training the Iraqi Security forces so they can keep up with the security forces.
As the Iraqi Forces have grown in professionalism and confidence, the region and area around Babel has become some of the safest area located in Iraq. The Iraq Security Forces have began to plan their own operations, and have worked very hard to take the training and lead that the Coalition have provided and learn from it. People in the Babel community have aided, and now bring to the attention of the Iraqi Security Service when something is not right.
Recently three large caches of weapons have been brought forth, one was turned over to the Iraqi Security Forces and the other two were given first to the Sons of Iraq.
Each of these situations likely would not have occurred even six months ago, but with the advent of trust and cooperation the citizens have became part of the solution, not the problem.
This has led to a total disruption of Insurgent operations, and the success of the Iraqi police and Iraqi National Army.
