Coalition And ISF Forces Continue To Pursue Al Qaida
The area to the North of Baghdad has been full of a lot of the different elements that the coalition has been working to eradicate. Slowly, over a period of time, the members of different terror and insurgency groups have been routed, and the area has grown steadily in safety.
The members of the Iraqi Security Forces have worked to step in and take charge, and this has meant all the difference in the world. As the coalition has set itself up the region at first was very distrustful, and then learned to trust the coalition.
Many of the members of the community have been unable to see the Iraqi Security forces, especially members for the Iraqi police as their friends. Many remembered when the Iraq police were an extension of Saddam, and were very slow to trust.
But by having the “outsiders” from the coalition forces, and by working side by side with their Iraqi Counterparts the members of the Iraq security forces have slowly earned the trust from the community.

As the levels of trust in each other has risen the success in the security of the region has risen, then soared. It is now as safe in the northern provinces as it has ever been, and the future appears truly bright.
